Meet Brittney

Just to be clear, I am horrible about talking about myself. Now that I’ve told you one secret (you can’t tell anyone!), it’s time to lay out a few more…

I’m Brittney and I’m the owner and teacher of Inquiring Minds Daycare. I’m the wife to Mike and the mother of Gwendalyn and Abigail, my two beautiful girls. The first of January 2015 we welcomed our first daughter, Gwendalyn. Abigail was born August 2017.

I have a bachelors degree in health education from Truman State University. I worked full time for a fantastic company for 7 and a half years and absolutely loved the people I worked with. During the first 2 years of our first daughters life, I felt I was missing watching my daughter learn and grow. I was missing being there for her in times of need. During my pregnancy with our second, my husband and I discussed the opportunity in front of us to have our children grow up with their mama home. Thus Inquiring Minds Daycare was born.

My evenings and weekends are spent cooking, cleaning, playing with my girls, doing various workouts, making things for my little ladies, doing research for projects and the daycare then executing those various projects. Oh, and I run a jewelry business called Brie’Denee, but I put that on hold in October 2014 just before I gave birth to our first daughter.

This is me, Brittney.

(It was 2013 but I haven’t changed much. I just don’t have a good recent head shot.)

These women are my inspiration and my best friends.

We have some serious times and lots of fun together.

This is my husband Mike with our two girls. He’s a fantastic father and helps me out with daycare things when he can.

We also have a lot of fun!

These little ladies are the light of my life.

This is us.

These are some of the projects I’ve done over the years: Jewelry, painting, sewing, to show a few…

We are always on the go. I’ll post about anything and everything. From thoughts, feelings, and research on being a mama, to crafts I’m working on and projects around the house, daycare yard. I’m not limiting myself to certain topics because I don’t limit what I do, research, feel or think in my life. I believe in living life as full as possible and being with the people I love as much as possible.

I love to help others when possible as well. That’s where this blog comes in. I hope that the posts help you through your life. Whether that is learning from my mistakes, learning about projects you can do with your kiddos, what my process is for various family related things and anything related to my daycare.

Visit back! I’d love to share my journey through life with you. I promise, if I make a mistake, I’ll do an “Uh Oh” post. If you’re wondering where the “Uh Oh” came from, my daughter says it about a thousand times a day when we drop ANYTHING or if she throws something. It’s super cute and fits perfectly.

Thank you for your interest in my daycare. I am truly delighted to have the opportunity to care for your little one(s)!
