OUR GOAL IS TO MAKE SURE THEY'RE PREPARED

At Inquiring Minds Learning Academy, we focus on getting our pre-kindergarteners prepared for kindergarten. Our teachers are trained to prepare your child for a successful educational journey with the help of parent(s) and/or guardian(s). Teamwork between teachers and parents is beneficial to your child’s success. We believe it’s very important for our children to go into the next level of their educational journey confident and prepared.

1. Identify all letters’ name and sound

2. Identify numbers 0-20. Count to 30

3. Grip a pencil, crayon, or marker correctly

4. Write their first name

5. Learn sounds corresponding to vowels and consonants

6. Recognize some common sight words: it, the, like, a

7. Be able to recognize colors and parts of the body

8. Recognize and produce rhyming words

9. Repeat full name and birthday

10. Recite the days of the week and months of the year

11. Classify objects according to their size, shape, and quantity

12. Know how to interact with a book/know how to use a book properly

13. Active Listening

14. Follow multi-step directions

15. Work together with a friend or in small groups 

16. Use scissors, glue, paint, and other art materials with relative ease

17. Manage bathroom needs

18. Get dressed

19. Clean up after themself

20. Separate from parents easily
